Kerlingarfjöll hike

About the hike

This great hike feels like being on a different planet at times and has been used in movies and media countless times for an other-wordly feel.

You will start your hike at the geothermal area where the heat rises from the ground creating a landscape in a beautifully picturesque color palette.  You then head down a path down to a cabin called Ásgard where you can enjoy a lunch and take in the scenery before walking about a kilometer to a lovely natural hot spring for a relaxing dip.

An unforgettable day in an area that is like any other in the world. Note that you might have to wade across streams at times so bring an extra pair of socks.

A favorite among locals and the stuff of many folklore stories, Kerlingarfjöll is a must-see for any nature lover!
