Fjallhalla Adventures is a family-owned Destination Management Company (DMC) and licensed tour operator founded in 2014. Based in Reykjavik, we operate across the whole of Iceland — built on one belief: the best guide is the one who actually loves where they are taking you.

The name carries more than one layer. In Icelandic, fjall means mountain and halla is a slope — but together they deliberately echo Valhalla, the great hall of Norse mythology where the worthy gather. Adventure earned, not packaged.

There is a second story in the name. Halla and Fjalla-Eyvindur were legendary Icelandic outlaws who spent over two decades living entirely off the highland wilderness — surviving Iceland through nothing but knowledge of the land. They did not navigate by guidebook. They knew Iceland. That is the spirit behind everything Fjallhalla does.

A decade on, we run as a full-service DMC and incoming operator for travel trade partners, while continuing the guided tours and multi-day hiking programmes that built our reputation.
